Since 1988 the Beilstein-Institut has organized and supported scientific exchange between researchers by regularly held symposia.Â
Long tradition: Since 1988, the Beilstein Bozen Symposia have addressed many different themes. In recent times the focus has been on selected interdisciplinary aspects of chemistry and biology.

Since 2003, the Beilstein Enzymology Symposia deal with enzymes, which play an essential role for all processes of life. Reliable and comparable enzyme data are required for the elucidation of metabolism processes for example. In addition, this Beilstein symposium is also the forum for discussing standards for measuring and publication of such experimental data.
