How to contribute

Instructions for Authors
File Formats, Language and Length
The manuscript should be prepared as an unformatted text file, saved in a readable document format such as rich text format (rtf), DOS-text format, Microsoft Word (doc, docx) format, Open Office or Libre Office format or html. Please do not deliver files that contain hidden instructions such as to create footnotes or reference lists.
The language is English; spelling should be US English. The manuscripts for the Beilstein Magazine should consist of 5000 to 10000 characters (including blanks).
Authors' Names and Affiliations
For all authors who have made substantial contributions to the work, first name, middle initial(s) and last (family) name and their affiliation must be provided.
Author's photo
Please provide – as a separate file – an adequate portrait sized photograph (minimum 300 dpi) of each author including a job title and a short description of the current position of the author.
Keywords
Please provide a maximum of 5 keywords, avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, 'and', 'of'). Abbreviations should not be considered for keywords unless they are firmly established in the field. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.
Graphics and Tables
Graphics should be separately saved in high-resolution tiff- or jpeg-format; file sizes should not exceed 5 MB. Images should not exceed 500 pixels per inch in width or height.
Do not embed the graphics within the text nor link them by OLE, but please insert corresponding placeholders within the text.
Tables should be separately delivered as text file.
Please include a separate text file containing the legends of the graphics; do not save figure numbers, legends or author names as part of the image.
It is the responsibility of the author to obtain permission to reproduce copyrighted material in his/her article.
References
References are possible but not required. Please consider that a maximum of 10 references should be given. All references must be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals, in the order in which they are first cited in the text, followed by any references in tables or legends.
The references should not contain any form of note or comment. Web links and URLs should be included in the reference list. They should be provided in full, including both the title of the site and the URL.
