Welcome to the
Beilstein-Institut

The “Beilstein-Institut zur Förderung der Chemischen Wissenschaften”
is a foundation based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Our mission is to promote the advancement of the chemical and related sciences. We believe the best way to achieve this is through open science practices. The results of all of our projects are freely available to the scientific community. We work with scientists worldwide on our open access journals, data standardization projects and symposia. Our core projects are: The Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry and the Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology. These two diamond open access journals are interconnected with our organic chemistry, biochemistry and nanotechnology symposia, where the focus is on intensive scientific discussion and exchange. A key aspect of all our activities is the fostering of communication, collaboration and sharing of ideas between scientists.
