The “Beilstein-Institut zur Förderung der Chemischen Wissenschaften” is a foundation based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Our mission is to promote the advancement of the chemical and related sciences. We believe the best way to achieve this is through open science practices. The results of all of our projects are freely available to the scientific community. We work with scientists worldwide on our open access journals, data standardization projects and symposia. Our core projects are: The Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry and the Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology. These two diamond open access journals are interconnected with our organic chemistry, biochemistry and nanotechnology symposia, where the focus is on intensive scientific discussion and exchange. A key aspect of all our activities is the fostering of communication, collaboration and sharing of ideas between scientists.
Since 2014 we are organizing the Beilstein Nanotechnology Symposia: A series of international conferences often inspired by a thematic issue in the Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry or based on proposals from researchers around the world. The symposium is held in close cooperation with internationally renowned experts in the fields. The number of participants is limited providing a convivial atmosphere with a focus on an intensive and personal exchange between speakers and participants from undergraduates to senior professors.
For an overview about our upcoming symposia click here and for more information about our previous Beilstein Organic Chemistry Symposia click here.
The symposium is organized by the Beilstein-Institut and will take place at the Dom Hotel Limburg, near Frankfurt, Germany.
